The woman, whose name wasn't released, was crossing the street in the 200 block of North 10th Street when she was struck by a blue Acura at 1:47 p.m., the Philadelphia Police Department said in a news release.
Medics arrived on scene and took the woman to Jefferson University Hospital in Center City where she was pronounced dead at 2:20 p.m., according to police.
The driver of the Acura remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities, police said.
No arrests have been made at this time, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
